September 21, 2017 -- The Prevention, Preparedness and Response (P2R) Academy, a funded training initiative housed at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health, actively promotes health and safety during post Harvey cleanup activities, particularly in our most vulnerable communities.  Janelle Rios, PhD, MPH and her colleagues from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences provided educational materials and personal protective equipment to residents, volunteers and day laborers via community groups such as the Fe y Justicia Worker Center in Houston.
