Prevention, Preparedness, and Response (P2R) Consortium COVID-19 Health and Safety Measures for In-Person Training

We care about your health and safety! To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, we are taking the following measures:

  • Social distancing: Classrooms have been reorganized to help participants, instructors, and staff maintain a distance of at least six feet between each other. To help ensure this, we also are limiting the number of participants per classroom.
  • Face masks: We encourage you wear a cloth face cover while attending our in-person training. If you do not have a mask, we will provide a disposable mask for you.
  • Hand hygiene: We are frequently washing our hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. We ask that participants attending our in-person courses do the same. We will also have alcohol-based hand sanitizer available in the classroom.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting: We are using EPA-registered disinfection products to disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, light switches, tables, and training equipment.

  • Symptom Monitoring: If you have symptoms like coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or fever, please stay home. Please send an email to Pamela.D.Phillips@uth.tmc.edu if you are unable to attend a course. We will apply your registration fee to a future course.
  • Our team continues to monitor and follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local health officials, and UTHealth. If we need to cancel an in-person course, we will refund your registration fee.
